Hyundai working on Corvette Z06 rival

Hyundai works on new
Hyundai/Corvette Z06

The automotive industry has been sprinkled with the number of supercars rather unexpected countries in recent months. Samples from Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Poland and even clap, to give the major manufacturers of supercars a run for its money. Now, this is a rumor that we may be adding to the mix Hyundai as well. South Korean automaker is rumored to work on a new supercar, which would take the model as a Corvette Z06, Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911.

If produced, the new model can be sporty coupe based on the new all-aluminum company Tao 5.0-liter engine V8. The choice for transmission is still in the air, but because of the excessive weight of the car would be rear-wheel-drive model. Since it is placed above the Genesis R-Spec Coupe, expect that the new supercar to deliver more than 429 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.

Hyundai, the new supercar will deliver the same options as a luxury sedan as Equus, including manual IPad owners and pick-ups and services, when the car needs service.

Of course, all this is only speculation at this time. Asked about the future supercar, Hyundai CEO John Krafcik said that there is a supercar in the works. In fact, he said, "No, no," and called the rumors "obscene nonsense." Anyone remember how many cars were born from a direct denial?

Zenvo ST1 Dutch Supercar Boasts 1,000+hp and Looks Good Too

If you are - as the Zenvo ST1 claims to be - Denmark's first supercar, you want to do the job properly. Uphold national pride and all that.

Which is why, if you are Denmark's first supercar, you should not limit yourself to either a turbocharger or a supercharger. If you are Denmark's first supercar, you need both. [Details on the car]

We don't yet know if the thing actually drives properly, but what we are wondering about is why couldn't Toyota/Lexus design their LFA supercar to look this nice, besides handling nice?

Batmobile For Sale - $1 Million

Seems just about anyone can drive like Batman these days, if they have $1 million and 20,000 man-hours to spare.

No doubt this Swedish man felt just like Bruce Wayne during those long three and a half years, except without the financial muscle of Wayne Enterprises or a wise-cracking Alfred to bring him tea during breaks...

2010 Lexus LF-A Supercar Spied before the 2009 Tokyo Auto Show - First Look

The supercar that almost wasn’t, and still might not be, the Lexus LF-A, was recently spotted again in prototype form ahead of a rumored debut at next month's 2009 Tokyo Auto Show.

The LF-A has been spotted testing on a number of occasions, so it's well past the 'pure concept' stage, but its production future still remains murky at best...

New Devon GTX Supercar Built Around Dodge Viper Hardware

California is fast becoming a hotbed of boutique car companies -- Fisker, Tesla, and now Devon. Devon Motorworks is the brainchild of Michigan-born entrepreneur, food-company owner, and car enthusiast Scott Devon. And the eye-catching 650-horsepower Devon GTX coupe is its first product. Scott Devon calls the coupe "The Next Great American Supercar.

That may not be hyperbole. The GTX is built around some key pieces of Dodge Viper hardware, including the basic frame and the 8.4-liter V-10 driving the rear wheels via a Tremec six speed manual transmission and limited slip differential. That is some fast DNA.

Former Le Mans 24 Hour class winner Justin Bell gave a glimpse of the GTX's potential when he lapped the challenging 2.3-mile Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 1- minute/35.075 seconds. That just shades the min/35.117-sec production-car lap record set by pro racer Randy Pobst in the Viper ACR during our 2008 Best Handling Car test, and...(Continued)

Gold Bugatti Veyron - Golden Beauty Seen Around Dubai and Kuwait

As one commenter put it, "Most gold cars just look ridiculously stupid, but the two tone job on this car actually looks good." Agreed. This Bugatti Veyron is quite stunning, and it damn well better be -- ruining even the smallest thing on a car of such caliber would be a mortal sin.
