Looks like 2012 Nissan GTR recently set sub 3 seconds acceleration figure is the new benchmark within the supercar category.

First Lamborghini responded with Eventador 2.9s sting and now MTM modified version of Audi R8is heating up the game with 3.0s flat result through unspecified engine modification in the tune of 571Kw. And if that wasn’t enough MTM decided to give this version fresh new exterior appeal through highly polished aluminium take on its already remarkable exterior finish that exposed its aluminium exterior components further enhanced bycarbon fibre insertion through oversized rear spoiler, side panel and side skirts add-on. Its estimated price tag of €400K is a reflection on its extensive exterior bodywork and performance modification. MTM will display its version of Audi R8 V10 Biturbo during current Geneva International Motor Show. Considering its scarce availability and mammoth price tag Australian distribution is unlikely. The outside of the ABT R8 GT S has a red paint finish that is contrasted by the use of carbon fiber parts in the middle section of the car. Carbon fiber was used for the engine compartment, red air scoops, windscreen frame cover and both of the front and rear skirts – all in order to reduce the overall weight of the car, although they didn’t say by how much. It also got a brand new set of rims that are available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes.
This increase in power from 520 hp to 620 hp was possible by installing a performance kit that includes a sports exhaust system, allowing the 5.2-liter V10 to take the car to 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). To round up the upgrade program, they’ve installed a more taut suspension.
