New Acura Nsx 2011

Another thing a majority awaits for the final release of a new sports luxury car. The Advanced Sports Car Concept was reinforced mainly to launch Acura’s recently open design center in Pasadena, California. The parent company Honda wanted their premium brands to have a separate visual identity; this is what made them open two separate studios and talent demos the weird Advanced Sports Sedan Concept and the ASCC.. While Acura says the ASCC design assumes a front-mounted V10 engine and all-wheel drive, the construct was only a “pushmobile” with no running gear, so a production model could end up being entirely different.

Indeed, despite the “Sports Car” moniker, the concept’s size, shape and position suggest a high-speed luxury coupe, non a driving-focused machine like the original NSX with its jackanapes aluminum spaceframe, revvy amidship V6 and Chevrolet Corvette.

On the other hand, racy newcomers from two homeland rivals–the just-released 2008 Nissan GT-R and Toyota’s high-power 2009 Lexus sports coupe–are doubtlessly goading Honda to respond. Honda may find it easy being green, but it still wants to be seen as a performance power second to none.

There’s also the question of whether Honda would take the trouble of building the Advanced Sports Car Concept and then do nothing with it. Sure, most concept designs go no further than an auto-show turntable, but Honda isn’t known for indulging in dead-end ego trips.

Since that time, there has been a definite decline in aggressive automotive design at Honda/Acura that has hardly been filled by the likes of the S2000.  So it is easy to get excited about news that the NEW NSX is being put through testing at the Nurburgring in Germany in preparation of a tentative 2011 release.  With so much success in its past, and so many changes planned for the future, the biggest question may be how much “NSX-ness” is left?

Audi Locus 2011

Riders awaits the born of Audi Locus.  The based looks close like TT and R8’s son from the future, wherein this concept car impresses with its smooth curved design, creating a continuous flow from front until the back of the car. The Audi Locus very really nice, too bad we’ll probably never gonna see it on the streets.

For the exterior design matters a lot to rely on a sharp-edged curved line starting at the front is very, flowing through the middle, slightly bent after the A pillar and then rising again on the rear wheel arches to follow the path back to the diffuser. The same curve language is also applied to greenhouse and window design. Home has an aggressive look with traditional Audi grille. The intake air is shaped like a lamp to create a coherent feeling.

The back is very organic with defined curves and subtle details, tail lamps are designed to have integrated air outtakes below them to avoid unnecessary details.Slim design of the rear volume is defined by the dual exhaust tail pipes which are located on the side is very dark and by the surface diffuser.

The 2013 BMW i3 and i8 concepts

The 2013 BMW unveils new i3 and revamped i8 concepts. BMW's been teasing us with its vision for electric motoroing for years, and today, folks, the trend continues. The German automaker has unveiled two concepts from its upcoming i sub-brand: the city-dwelling i3 and a rehashed version of its i8.

This is the first time we've officially seen the smaller of the two, as the car formerly known as the Megacity had only been spied in an official render and during routine testing at the arctic circle. 

It'll haul four peeps with its 150km range (around 100 miles) and accelerate from 0-60mph in around 8 seconds. As for those with range anxiety, the German company will soothe such fears with an optional range-extending motor dubbed "REx."

2013 BMW i3 and i8 concepts

Either variant could land in your garage in 2013, where you'll be able top them up in 6 hours with a standard socket, or up to eighty percent in an hour if you're rocking a spiffy high capacity charger.  The i8, which you'll recall for its radical aerodynamic design and hybrid diesel-electric drivetrain, has received a bevy of aerodynamic tweaks and junked its oil burner, opting for a gasoline one instead.

Engine swap aside, the sporty coupé apparently drinks only 2.7 liters per 100km -- 87 mpg (!) for yanks -- which is unreal in a car that'll accelerate to 62mph in 4.6 seconds. Sound too good to be true? We'll have to wait until 2014 to see if München can make good on those promises, but in the meantime feel free to peruse the galleries, videos, and PR after the break.
