Maserati Quattroporte Automatic - 1, The Best Rated Cars with Its Four Doors and Luxurious Interior

                               

                       

          The Maserati Quattroporte is one of the best rated cars brought to the market by the well renowned car company Maserati. It falls under the classification of a Sedan with its four doors and luxurious interior. To date there have been five generations of this car, each car being released roughly five years after its predecessor. The latest Maserati Quattroporte was released last 2004 with a powerful 4.2 Liter V8 engine.

                           

          Three electronic transmission programs are provided: Snow, Normal and Sport. In Snow, the car starts in 2nd gear and up- and downshifts take place at low engine speeds. In Normal, all six ratios are used with the smooth up- and downshifts taking place depending on how aggressively the car is driven. In Sport mode, all shifts are made at higher revs and performed more quickly. In all modes, including manual, kicking down instantly selects the gear providing the best acceleration and keeps it until the 7000-rpm redline is reached. If the accelerator is lifted quickly enough, any gear selected remains engaged for some time.

                                

                     

          This Quattroporte is available in both automatic and DuoSelect paddle shift transmission that has speeds up to the 6th speed level. It has a good weight distribution of 47 percent in the front part and 53 percent in the rear part enabling a very relax and nimble way of handling it. It can reach the maximum speed of 269 kilometers per hour and it can reach a mile within 5.6 seconds after acceleration. Currently, this car model has sold hundreds of units in various parts of the United States, Europe, Asia as well as in Africa and Austrailia

       

The Interior Design Of Maserati Quattroporte Automatic - 1

          The quality and workmanship of the Maserati’s interior are excellent and so is the fit of the wood or carbon trim. The instruments are easily legible; and the various controls are ergonomically well arranged. The automatic air-conditioning system has separate adjustments for the left and right sides of the cabin, both in the front and rear. The rear seat is electrically adjustable, and leg room is more than adequate. As for criticisms, the trunk is small, and the driver’s seat needs more lateral support.

Maserati GranTurismo MC

Maserati will officially unveil its new GranTurismo MC during the FIA GT's "Media Days." Now the car that was merely a concept back in September could be coming to a race track near you.

The GranTurismo MC racer is based on the GranTurismo S road car. Its production stats are similar to the concept shown at the 2008 Paris auto show. It weighs less than 3090 lbs thanks to a fully-stripped interior, Lexan windows, a carbon fiber dashboard, and multiple composite body panels. Maserati didn't specify the horsepower, but if the GranTurismo MC has the same 450-hp engine as the concept, it will boast a racecar-like power-to-weight ratio of 7 lb / hp.

Also, like the concept, the rest of the car is engineered to FIA standards. Thus it is equipped with a data acquisition system, six-point racing harness, and an integral roll cage. It also features more aerodynamic bodywork, extra-firm racing suspension, enlarged brakes all around, and slick racing tires on 18-inch wheels.

A Maserati GranTurismo MC will be entered by a private team to partake in some GT4 European Cup events during the second half of this season.
