New Subaru XV and BRZ Prologue to Frankfurt

Subaru yesterday confirmed that the XV crossover and BRZ ‘Prologue’ will be the highlights of the Subaru display at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show, open to the public from September 15 to 25, 2011.

The press conference will be conducted by company president Yasuyuki Yoshinaga on the Subaru stand at 09.30am on September 13.

The final production version of the new XV remains true to the design concept first shown and warmly received at the Shanghai show in April, and will be underpinned by Subaru’s symmetrical All-wheel drive and advanced Subaru dynamic chassis control concept. Dimensions for the new XV (length x width x height) are 4450mm x 1780mm x 1570mm, with a wheelbase of 2635mm.

Subaru will also display an enhanced model of the BRZ, called BRZ Prologue. The exhibit will showcase the Subaru technology being used in the joint venture with Toyota Motor Corporation, built around the horizontally opposed Boxer engine configuration. The BRZ will feature an all-new 2.0 litre Subaru direct injection Boxer which has been developed exclusively for the model. Dimensions for the new BRZ are 4200mm x 1770mm x 1270mm and with a wheelbase of 2570mm.
