Jeep in Goodwood Revival
A swinging 1950s rock and roll band and a lively dance group were among the musical highlights of a highly successful Goodwood Revival weekend for Jeep®.
The American 4WD giant chose the UK to celebrate its 70th Anniversary through a sponsorship agreement with the West Sussex-based historic motorsport event last weekend (16-18 September).
And the Revival certainly brought new interest in Jeep as thousands of show-goers visited the brand’s key exhibition areas – a classic Jeep® Diner, Jeep at the Earls Court Motor Show, featuring 50s and 60s Jeep vehicles and the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee and Compass, Jeep at March Motor Works, displaying a Jeepster in a typical 1950s US garage, and the Jeep 4x4 Experience.
As well as the entertainment from the Milkshakers rock band and Lindy Hop dancers, Jeep also served a US-style lunch to its UK dealers and their guests, and hosted a VIP afternoon tea for European media.
“This was an extremely busy weekend for Jeep with so much activity going on and such a huge crowd visiting this fantastic Revival weekend,” says Nigel Land, brand director, Jeep Chrysler in the UK. “We were able not only to revel in the heritage of the remarkable Jeep brand, but also to show people the stunning new Jeep range of vehicles that we are selling today.”
