GT R8 is a lightweight, ultra-performance version of the R8, and only 333 pieces have been designed for production. The differences are the revised suspension, improved aerodynamics, carbon fiber body, reduced sound insulation, thinner glass, and the GT-specific steering wheel.
The Audi R8 - Silver
Audi R8 4.2 is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 mounted behind the cab that sends 430 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque through a four-wheel drive. A six-speed manual transmission with a shifter closed metal is standard, while manual six-speed automatic clutch single known R tronic is optional. R8 is 4.2 with a transmission zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. fuel economy estimated by the EPA for 2011 were not available so far, but the model of last year reached 12 mpg city/19 mpg highway and 15 mpg combined with manual and 13/18/15 with R tronic.
The Audi R8 - Brown (Audi Spyder)
R8 Coupe 5.2 includes options for all 4.2′s mentioned above, plus a V10 engine, different suspension tuning, different wheels, LED headlights and differences in small external details. The Spyder 5.2 Add a top electrical soft, retractable window that doubles as a wind deflector. A selection of carbon fiber exterior and interior design packages are available on all models, while the cuts may be equipped with “blade side” alternate ending.
Although the R8 Spyder 5.2 is a convertible, it’s still very much designed for speed. In fact, the specially designed Acoustic top incorporates three-layers of insulation comparable to a traditional hard top. This means the R8 Spyder 5.2 is capable of reaching the 195 MPH top speed without hesitation. In addition, the top is capable of retracting in 19 seconds at speeds up to 31 MPH.
